Some members may know in 2018 BMW with Lion co. From Austria BMWI 3 was able achieve 435 miles squishing into the same package platform and if you pay $60000 you was able to retrofit your BMWI 3 with that great mileage . I sold my I 3 replace with 114 miles Mini SE which is good for me .New platform on Chinese Mini my have 150 miles but $hit can do 0-60 in 10 seconds. With smaller motor . When you on market for Mini SE buy today don’t wait bc this is only the last Mini SE you can enjoy .

The manufacturers selling us $**** as so far bc technology is there already !

At $600/kWh I wouldn't exactly say the technology is there... That's way more than the current standard of around $100/kWh (even with the margins that $60k includes)

People often forget that engineering process costs money. It's rarely "jam a bunch of batteries in there and call it a day." $100 or whatever mythical battery price per kWh you can find rarely applies to end consumers. It's certainly not a good investment - just sell the i3 + your $60k and you've got just about any long range EV you want.

As for the SE, I would have recommended buying last year but I just saw this morning prices and options have come up. I'm glad I got in when I did. It will be interesting to see how they sell as specs remain the same and value slips away. Edit: Configurator is squirrelly right now. Was showing over $40k for a top spec, now back down to last year pricing.
