With those amount of orders it may be some time before we see any of these cars in N.A. however on the positive side this should enable plenty of owners reviews ahead of time

KIA doesn't seem to have had the same reports of labor strikes or other issues that have been plaguing Hyundai and causing delays in the production of the Ioniq 5. It's not impossible that the EV6 may achieve faster deliveries than the IONIQ 5 as a result!

However, for both the HI5 and the EV6, there is still the issue of the ITC ban on SK batteries in the US that remains unresolved.

It's a bit tricky as these patents are a separate case from the accusation that SK stole "trade secrets" from LGES, which is the basis for the ITC 10 year ban ruling. But it certainly adds a plot-twist to what is already a complex case!

Looks like Kia may have a hit on its hands. Or at least enough of one to keep them production constrained for a while.
