2025 Kona EV Climate control brightness

I just recently took delivery of my 2025 Kona Electric SEL. Does anyone here know if there's a way to adjust the brightness/contrast of the climate control information screen (where the temperature setting, fan speed, etc. are displayed)? In daylight conditions (especially wearing sunglasses), it seems surprisingly faint and difficult to read. Has anyone else had this problem?

I've explored the various settings screens in the car and searched the owner's manual and haven't found anything on this.

Only reference I could find is this one showing how to use the "pull down menu" on the 12.3" infotainment. Go to 21:40 of the video, shows how to pull down the option menu showing a brightness adjustment a few seconds later.

The owners manual is available, however I could find no reference to the separate infotainment manual - even from Hyundai website. If you have the hard copy which should have been included, I am sure it will be mentioned in there. Enjoy your new Kona EV, and welcome to the forum

If you're referring to the backlight on the practical switches (as opposed to the screen) you can universally adjust all of the illuminated buttons with the rocker switch down and to the left from the steering column. The button is labeled with a lightbulb icon.

Thanks for the welcome to the Forum, and thanks for the video link. I hadn't discovered the "pull down menu", so that was helpful. It turns out that the on-screen brightness control there has exactly the same effect as the rocker switch on the dash to the left of the steering column that was mentioned by @Wildeyed. I had played with this briefly, and saw a clear effect on the brightness of the two main screens, but I erroneously thought it was having no effect on the separate little (LCD?) climate control display. That was because I didn't crank it up high enough. I now realize that the brightness control does in fact affect all three screens.

I do have the hardcopy infortainment manual, and have explored it a bit. It has some useful info, but also quite a few errors where the actual content and the Table of Contents conflict, or where content of a page is randomly replaced by content of a different page. Insufficient proofreading!

Thanks, @Wildeyed. See my reply to @electriceddy describing my failure to initially recognize that the brightness adjustment actually does apply to all three screens-- cluster, infotainment, and climate control.

Very informative video, I learned a lot. However, I have a question about whether it is possible to set the radio so that it always comes on with the Favorites option. I have a number of FM and Siriusxm stations set up as Favourites, and hardly ever need to go to other stations. However, every time I turn on the radio, it comes up in FM or Siriusxm mode, depending on the last station that I listened to. So, I have to reset it to Favorites every time starting up. Have not been able to set the default to Favorites. Just hoping that someone reading this may have the answer, if there is one. BTW, sorry about taking this thread off subject, but thought the people following the original topic might have an answer for me.
