Is it worth buying? I am afraid dealer would not charge the battery properly for a year. It's black exterior which we don't like. But $2500 cheaper than 2021.

Can anyone comment on the paint and clear coat for Clarity? I have an 2004 Honda Accord Coupe EXL. It's almost perfect except for the clear coat failure around 2013. It's also black, but I did see plenty of ugly Honda accord and Acura around.

I cannot comment on the paint. I have a mile long gravel drive and would never consider any color except white or silver,

But the car should have a full 36 month warranty. Just get the dealer to do a battery capacity test and show you the paper work prior to closing the deal. I bought a 2018 Clarity that was built in Jan 2018 and did not purchase it until September. I'm sure it was never charged. I have had no traction battery issues.

$2500 is not enough to cover the depreciation. It’s already a year old car and you will take a larger hit than that when you trade it in or sell it in a few years. Pass.

Whar exactly are they asking for it?

I am also debating it. So if I keep it for more than 3 years, I guess it wouldn't matter much? I think 1 year old vs 2 year old is a big difference. But no one really cares about 4 yrs vs 5 yrs? I usually keep cars for long time but might treat EV differently due to the tax benefit and batter life.
