2017 Tax Credit for charging equipment

Just saw this. Apparently there is a tax credit for home charging equipment purchased in 2017. Hopefully 2018 will be included at a later date.

Looks like there's a draft version of the instructions for 2017 tax year too … https://www.irs.gov/pub/irs-dft/i8911--dft.pdf

The tax credit itself was renewed (retroactively) for 2017 tax year: https://electrek.co/2018/02/09/ev-charging-credit-extended-2018/

Whether the credit survived to the 2018 bill remains to be seen. I couldn't find anything on that.

Apparently the credit is not in the current 2018 bill, but hopefully it will eventually get back in a future budget bill (see the article).
