removal

I am curious if anyone has cleanly removed the 12V socket cover at the rear side of the center console. I bought a small (almost flush) USB charger for back seat passengers but the cover now is propped up just waiting to make a deep wound in someone's leg or arm. Has anyone easily removed it...
