I came across this video featuring a pristine BMW 1602 (BMW Elektro Antrieb), along with a BMW 700. Unfortunately (for non-Norwegians), the speech is all Norwegian, but there's still lots to be gleaned from the images. They give us a good look at the electronics and batteries and such. Cool...
