    Clarity PHEV voltage

Just found the article on JSTOR by Tomoya Yamagishi and Takashi Ishikura. Interesting reading.

    Clarity PHEV voltage

Thank you, that's all fantastic information. I don't know why that Power Exporter has to be so expensive. The idea was prompted by wanting to keep a travel trailer charged and connecting to the 12v circuit would perfectly take care of that. I'll play around with the idea of tapping in to the...

    Clarity PHEV voltage

Hello. What is the maximum battery voltage of the Clarity PHEV and what is the most convenient location to splice into the high voltage harness? I'm interested in using our Clarity as a backup power source (with an appropriate switching power supply). Yes, I understand high amp high voltage...

What type of cells are in the clarity's batteries?

That make sense, but they wouldn't necessarily have to be the same cells; they could be any lithium ion cells. Perhaps at some point, the charger in the car would get angry about the increased charging current, set an error code and refuse to charge. How different is the EV Clarity from the...

    Very nice, eneka. Thank you!

What type of cells are in the clarity's batteries?

Are they 18650's? What brand and how many? Just curious. Well and maybe we can add some more and increase the electric range...

    Alternative Rattle Solution

@sniwallof Thanks much for the write up. Fixed RH tweeter rattle with a little RTV silicone around the clips.

Oh no, now I have to correct myself. I think it's my brain that is siped. Those were exactly the tires we got.

Yeah, they don't look like they would be. Those are not the tires we got. Ours are siped.

I noticed that the OE Michelins appear to be siped as well, so they may not even do that badly in the snow.

I had the studded tires mounted today and I put them on the car and we did a test drive. It drove great, just the typical sound of the claws hitting the road. We're ready for the winter. These are Enkei M52 with studded Firestone Winterforce 2 215/55R17 all from the Tire Rack. I have 40 PSI in...

Yes it is. And 64.1mm is a common bore diameter. It's in the specs, I've also measured it with a caliper and I have a set of centering rings that fit it.

Hello, My Enkei wheel came and it's a great fit. No clearance issues with the brake caliper; there's about 3/4" space between the brake caliper and the wheel. The model is Enkei M52 with +50mm offset. The wheel is 7.5" wide. "Hyper Black" (oddly this is not black) is a nice match for the car...

I really like the visualization on that page. So if the total diameter of wheel with tire remains the same and the offset remains the same, the scrub radius remains the same. Any change in offset alone is identical to the change in scrub radius. If the total diameter is larger or smaller it can...

I forgot to mention that I cancelled my order for the Accord wheels because I didn't want to deal with potential scrub radius or hubcentric centering issues with a +45mm wheel. I didn't want to replace the wheel mounting studs or leave them and worry either. Instead, I've ordered a single Enkei...
