What did you do to your MINI today?

I live in a jungle call New York and I build those bull bars myself to protect a car from people who park a car without any consideration of who is behind .I believe is nothing on a market for SE usually they only for bigger cars .

Did a tire rotation, fun fact, Mini's are so light you only need to jack them up and then they float in place!





Also FYI, the rear "fogs" just pop out, makes them easy to tint. Just a big plastic tab on each side. Went just a few shades just to help blend them into the facade.





Also started getting some carbon onto the doors, but ran out of time for today...

 

Perfectly centered again. Do you like Wes Anderson movies? He centers things, too.

 

You should be able to just reach in from the fender/wheel well area, there's a small gap. Easier with the wheels off, but could be done on ground too. Light is literally right there.

Like everyone else of course, summon the holy car spirits, and have them lift it up!

I hope so. I did notice that they don't use the common wire. It would have been so much easier to wire without running the C-wire.

 

I got some 6awg x #10 crimps from McMaster for my 48A EVSE. It was for work, honest! An electrical supply place may be worth a try. Wave cash and they are usually helpful...

 

I mentioned mine as 6awg #10 is also a hard to find size, they may have your 8awg #8. Both ends 1 size smaller...

It sure would be nice if EVSE suppliers included the odd crimps needed to install. I just got some 2awg crimp lugs in. $3.56 each. They aren't expensive. Just hard to find in some sizes.

 

If you want to stop charging and you can get inside the EVSE, add a tiny relay to break the control pilot wire. If that wire is broken, the car won't take any current.

 

You guys try to develop a WHEEL don’t mess up with a crab and you don’t have any issues use a charger to factory specifications and use a car the same way or spend more money for charger with Wi-Fi and you don’t depend on relay which I believe you don’t have a clue how to install . Charged and Drive a car .

 

I get paid good money to creatively rewire million dollar machines so they do things that they 'can't'. I prefer relays as anyone coming in after me should be able to see what I did, or just throw fresh relays at it, unlike with PLCs... My favourite machine has a 454 page book of wiring diagrams. One of my additions to that one consists of 6 signal relays and a switch. It effectively made the machine 6" bigger. That meant we didn't need a slightly bigger megabuck machine. Hmmm, new $1,000,000 machine or a $50 hack?


An AC EVSE I can hack in my sleep, the signalling is not complex. It is also done in a failsafe manner. There are many ways to stop a car pulling charge from an EVSE. Some, I definitely wouldn't recommend, which I'm not going to mention, because somebody.will...

If the CP wire is broken, the car will not charge. It has no possible hazards. Put a signal relay in the EVSE to break the CP wire. Run your external signal to the relay. Simple, cheap and safe.

I'm sure that you have talents that utterly elude me.

Re the lugs. I just had look in McMaster, no 88s. Could.you make one from a butt splice?
