For the first time my batteries went into conditioning mode while driving. It was only 5 degrees outside and the car wasn't plugged into the charger of course. I have seen it go into conditioning mode while plugged in and with an outside temperature of ~10 degrees but it doesn't show up on the cars display when it's plugged in. This is a 2020 model. Anyone else seen this?

Yes, it will run if the battery temp is several degrees below freezing (about -4C) and will usually run till the battery is about 2C.

I drive my car almost every day to work, plugged in over night. On my way to work even if it is -15C outside it never runs the battery heater. But at the end of my work shift sometimes it will run for a short period (usually the outside temp would need to be around -10 or colder). I haven’t had it use more than a few percent during a drive all winter.
