My Clarity gets a lot of use for skiing, I've taken trips with 1 adult and 1 kid in back and the 40% seat folded down so skis can fit. But its tight for sitting. If I cut a pass thru behind the center armrest then adults could sit on either side of the skis. Anyone see a reason not to do this? I have some nice rubber trim I could make the hole look factory, and I think just a piece of gray cloth would be enough to prevent stuff on the armrest from falling into the trunk.

Sure would be nice if Honda included this.

I previously did this with my BMW 328 convertible and it worked great.

Don't tell me to get a ski rack or box, those things are horrible.

No idea but I'd like to have one too so if you do it, post photos. I haven't taken this car skiing yet because I'm not 100% sure that dragging a 1000-lb dead battery up a mountain is a great idea.
