    Hi all,

After two months of work and preliminary testing, it was finally time to put our theories to the test. We loaded up 3200lbs to our Kia Niro, and did a full towing test to see how feasible it is in terms of stability and range. Enjoy!

Good to know that those cars can be used for towing.. Both, Kia and Hyundai (Kona Electric is technically the same as the eNiro) do not recommend towing with those cars but it seems to work. I wonder however, if towing with the car would affect the warranty..

If they can prove that the failure was a direct result of towing (and that you were towing in the first place), then yes it could affect your warranty. But considering that when I checked the driving style meter on the car, it said:

    Economical: 88%
    Normal: 12%
    Aggressive: 0%

    After towing 3200lbs!

I at least have an argument, that I was not stress loading the car! Who knows how it will hold up :)
