That makes sense and is why I asked. It may have been answered earlier in this long thread, too, but it is a little long for me to read through in detail. : )

I also looked at the winter wheel and tire packages at Mini, but DANG! Over $1200 PER CORNER!

I bought 4 nice used 16" MINI Loop Spoke rims on eBay for $600, but then had to spend another $70 for the correct SE center caps. Buying new rims for winter use just didn't make sense to me.

I spent big dollars getting the Spectre Grey Revolites for my winter wheels, because I wanted the most efficient (lightest, least drag) wheels for my SE during the winter. But for my Clubman I went to Tire Rack and bought the cheapest wheels I could find that fit my car; I think I ended up paying less than $100/wheel. Still using them over five years later.

It all comes down to form over function, and finding your happy medium.

Those look OK. There's a place in Seattle with a set of them (assuming yours are the "Silver 6855103" 6.5" wide wheels) for $750 with free shipping. Wonder what they would take if I went to get them?

The rims I bought went on eBay 6 months earlier for $650. The seller refused my $600 offer then. After 6 months I repeated my $600 offer and it was accepted. Knowing how long a used item has been up for sale can give you some leverage. Being able to save the seller shipping fees by picking up yourself is another way to get the price down. Can't hurt to make an offer.

6 months!? I commend you both for your patience, though there was clearly one winner. :)

How about these wheels? They say they are 16x7.

I bet they have 4 holes for the mounting bolts rather than the 5 you need.

Ah. They don't show the backs or list the details. We need 5 on 112mm, right?

I found another set of gray Style 517 wheels with Hankook 195/55r16 A/S tires for $700. Look like good tread left. They say they will fit 2020 and 2021 F56 Minis. I have asked for the exact specs.

I have trouble visualizing various wheels on my car. I'm getting a BRG with black Victory Spoke wheels. Not sure how gray will look on there, though.

Those look like Spectre Grey Revolites, but without the SE yellow caps. I found a photo of a BRG with them.

You're right! Duh. They do look like that. Looks pretty good in the builder, too.

The dealer that has the above take off wheel and tire package is asking for the last 7 digits of my VIN to confirm fit. Of course I don't have a VIN. Does $700 plus tax shipped sound like a good deal for a set of these wheels and tires? Seems so to me. Would anyone care to share (privately) a VIN that for an SE Signature that I can give the dealer to confirm fit? Thanks!

My VIN showed up on the tracking page as soon as it reached "PRODUCTION BEGINS" status. I saw in other thread that you're at that status, so check just above the status and you might see your VIN.

You are correct! Just hadn't noticed that. Thank you!

Sounds like a good deal to me after I paid $600 for just the rims. Now if you could get the dealer to throw in some SE center caps, it would be a great deal. If that request doesn't fly, ask for a deal on the center caps.

I paid about $400 per wheel for the Spectre Grey Revolites, sans tires. Special order from Germany.

Gee, can you tell which of my tires (rotated, balanced, and aligned today for the first time) hit a large pot hole on a dark, stormy night a few weeks back?

I've never had so much difficulty deciding on tires before... finding a balance between handling/fun, efficiency, and actual daily needs is almost impossible!

I finally ordered a set of Michelin X-ICE Snows in 205/55R16 (they don't make 195/55R16) to use on the stock 16" Victory Spoke wheels. I wanted to try the Hakkapeliittas but they're backordered.

I think I've decided on the BFGoodrich G-FORCE COMP-2 A/S PLUS for non-winter but keep going back and forth between 16" wheels and 17". I didn't realize how spoiled I was with the tons of options available for my previous Miata.
