  1. And I'd like to see a photo of this 8 inch ladder! ;)

  3. Ha Ha, that would be my old keyboard and sticky shift key:)

  4. Here is a picture of the 12 mm bolt:

it can be seen about 4" (inches) from the bottom of the rear folding seat risers. Undo the bolt and it will release a latch enabling you to pull up either riser from the center, then pull towards you and it will release from the pin located at the exterior side of the vehicle:

I only required the passenger 1/3 removed so I could fold the passenger front seat further down (not hitting on the riser) which in turn enabled me to fit in the 8' (foot) ladder which does rest on the front dash (under some foam protection of course).
A lot more storage area can be had if you remove both rear seat risers, depending on your specific requirements.
Hope that helps you, BTW welcome to the forum:)

  5. Getting back to the OT - the other day we drove about 200 miles RT on freeways, mostly in a heavy drizzle. Between the adaptive cruise control, lane keeping warning, blind spot alert, single pedal driving, automatic wipers and HUD, our Ultimate absorbed a huge percentage of the stress and effort that the trip could have taken.

I also love the cornering lights and the automatic high beam control, both of which work wonderfully.

One might think that I chose this car just to have all the gadgets. But every one of these is useful, and there isn't one that I wouldn't miss.

OK, so this is kind of silly, but it falls in to the "things I love" category.

My wife and I went out for fried clams today. We drove to the beach to eat them, and discovered that the clam shack had piled the boxes to overflowing, so clams and fries were going everywhere. To my delight, I discovered that the boxes were a perfect fit in the compartment by the HVAC controls. And I don't mean that they kind of fit, they fit like the compartment was designed for these boxes. All my future cars must now pass the clam box test!

  9. Oh, that brings back memories. I lived in Point of Pines, Revere for a year as a graduate student around 1968, and used to drive down to the clam shack at Revere Beach.

Nothing as good as Boston fried clams. Although the clam pizza at the House of Pizza on Mass. Ave in Cambridge came close.

You're right. We used to fantasize about Boston's fried clams when we lived in the Pacific North-wet. These ones were from the Hingham Lobster Pound, a shack that's not changed in decades. They get the batter just right.

  11. And the boxes apparently;)

  13. I might've missed it but I don't think anyone has mentioned it - I like how the different audio modes (FM/AM/Sirius/USB) "remember" their individual volume levels. Initially, I thought I was imagining it and then I spent way too much time confirming it multiple times.
