It is not what the legacy ICE makers want to sell, it is what their former customers and first time buyers want to buy. And its the ability of those customers to never buy new ICE or never buy one again and suddenly do so with numbers that put ICE permanently out of business over night. Its also the inability of ICE to get bailouts. Its rumored part of what got Diess demoted at VW was tryinh to push for ICE incentives over corona. There is no more good will for ICE.

Legacy ICE is cruising along at 35,000 feet and then they hit 200 miles of 0 psi with nothing to push against the wings to produce lift and nothing to run through the engine to create thrust. And then legacy ICE crashes into the ground at 600mph and there is nothing left to rebuild.

Its like that joke about the guy that thinks he can stand the wind of a hurricane. Its not that the wind is blowing... its what the wind is blowing.

None of these companies can make it through a single quarter with their customers shunning them with a 75% drop in sales and dropping there after to never return and none after that can hold their breath for even the rest of the year.

And the level of denial is off the chart. GM put moon foot print motifs in its truck not as if that product is a moon shot for GM but they think a high priced compliance volume non intentionally hobbled vehicle is some giant step for man kind just because its from GM just like Ford says its the only green auto maker in the US because it was on the right side of carb as if that was the most significant event in EV history and legitimated EVs. They are run by a bunch of people who are about to retire with golden paraschutes. But will those schutes open any better than they did for Enron's Jeffrey Skilling. They'll be jumping into the vacuum of the Blackberry zone.

And we can see that none of them not even VW are remotely serious about the Blackberry zone and it is already to late they can't turn away or fly over it. They can't merge their way out of it. They won't even have the result RIM.

Lucid, just seems dumb. Imagine them saying their primary competition is Blackberry? Their primary competition is this company Daimler that by all evidence will be going out of business soon? They are trying to pander as hard as they can to get acquired by a soon to be defunct firm. They are noise and should shut up and go away. They seem too dumb to survive.
