Tesla should just say NO to the ad industry

    Pay us protection money and we won't constantly lie about Tesla to the public but we will have a shill or two buy some Tesla stock to try to make that sound reasonable. Tesla should never work with ad agencies- they undermine the relationship with the customer- firms that use them lose touch- its outsourcing your customer relationship one thing you can never outsource- can never outsource marketing. Like Musk said spend more on product lest on trying to foist stuff on people.

    The ad industry is based on a theft of attention economy and a dis-empowering right to interrupt (also theft) that communicates subservience and sponsorship undermines democratic institutions and democracy itself by acting as a money filter on candidates and legislation. We get bribery and censorship pitched as protected free speech and we get an entitled industry that expects to profit from lying to the public about the public interest. And we get products that are based on iterative compounding cycles of lies and hollowing out and dis-empowering. These entities idiotically talk about free publicity as if any time the public learns of something they must be paid as if the public commons of knowledge were permanently privatized by them- it isn't we need to be rid of them permanently these kinds of behaviors are true criminal conspiracies that turn society into trash. Do we want a lie based society allowing their scam to exist is how we get one. Do we want a crime based society where law is crime? Allowing their trash to continue to exist is how we get useless idiotic oligarchic rule by the stupid and corrupt.

    Sponsorship is always a conflict of interest, shouldn't be legal and tax policy should be confiscatory toward it on the way to it becoming illegal. If Tesla starts advertising that will signal a shift toward paid lying. The loss of good will is very likely to be incalculable. Don't need ads if we have open honest transparent un-sponsored (un-manipulated and un-censored search.) Search can be done P2P like Popcorn time. That people pay for the Zoom spyware is beyond idiotic (even Google won't use it- should be banned more than TikTok and What'sap) its like paying to bring back the long distance scam. You don't need a data center, spyware and useless market capitalization to run a multi-view chat room.

    Tesla has 1 million plus Cybertruck reservations for people who have never owned a truck before it is the number 1 choice. For current truck owners it beats Dodge already before launch. The public is done with done with the big 3- they betrayed the country and humanity with their fossil fuels, they are ready for the grave. And one is resorting to jingoistic bible thumping with the name of a spin off brand 'Lordstown'- could have picked anything else but wanted to appeal to the racism and ignorance of a another jihad for oil. They were already defeated by the Japanese and they hid behind decades old 25% truck tariffs.

    Hyundai spent $6800 per Genesis vehicles on ads to get in to ICE luxury. Tesla spends zero- its car need zero positioning to create demand and that was $6800 dollars less quality that went into the Genesis vehicles- imagine paying $6800 for the unnecessary spam component of a vehicle. Utterly pathetic. If a company has to rely on demand creation (puffing-lying) its because its products aren't good enough. Its like Amway trying to pimp people's relationships with their Jim Jones soap selling cult. Its BMW trying to sell its never ending story car front ends to poseur culture and being so lazy it can't be bothered to run its own company or brand it or stand for something so it has to outsource even that. Letting a total parasite get between the organization and the public is the dumbest thing in the world because that parasite will play one off the other for gain and destroy the natural relationship between buyer and seller and we end up with dumbed down products and paying a premium for creating ill-will and mistrust. Look at how the public thinks about car dealers and the RIAA- the ad industry is 10x worse and based on fundamental theft. Money is not free speech it is bribery in this context. We need the free speech doctrine back which said commercial speech is last in line to protect vital political speech. We also need something stronger than the fairness doctrine which said to consolidated media they would cover elections for free as a cost of access to public commons of speech a commons which can never be alienated from the public and anything less would mean loss of corporate charter- even allowing entertainment to cross with so-called news would lead to loss of charter. Under that structure we can and did imprison both the political bribe taker and the bribe maker. Taking a single cent under any pretense when the job is the represent the people (never the self) should get the maximum penalty a society can provide because its life and death in the quick aggregate that follows.

    Under that system we had the lowest health care cost and the best outcomes in the world. Now we have the worst outcomes and highest costs in the developed world because our money goes to fund an insurance casino that socializes a river of endless fossil fuel losses. Under that system wages were still liked to inflation but once Buckely v Vallejo and its progeny took effect we got a civil war inducing split where the populous is 16x more productive but none of the gains have gone to it, really now they have no security and its bs to say their income has been flat its much less than half. Its the same idiotic oligarchic game where you get debt up and wages down and price away education because oligarch live in constant fear they can never justify what they have so they have to tread mill the population to death in hope of weakening it enough that it can never get off the mat and administer justice but in the mean time such a weakened state is vulnerable from without because it is hollowed out.

    We don't need a press. We need something better than a press. A press has no special supervisory role- it can always be bribed for its opinions. What we need is open honest search (un-sponsored, uncensored, no ads ever, no prioritizing) and more horizontal communication and a higher information metabolism. Every human on this planet by virtue of being human has every right wrongly reserved for the press. We don't need paid propagandists and we can't tolerate propaganda from government we need information based on the best current estimates.

    Its the same thing with Android Auto its a surveillance capitalism platform all that is necessary to put a pin in its balloon and is not do the gross abuses it is intended and expected to perpetrate and point out that you provide and honest alternative.

    Tesla remains production limited. Advertising would make the production limitation worse.
