Don't sweat it as it happens. In 2005, I got our first generation Prius that I showed off to everyone. Sad to say, the 'earth mother' woman said 'the Prius is so quiet it runs over blind people.' FUD like that led to what I call the "Bell the Hybrid" act that put those useless pedestrian noise makers in our hybrid, PHEV, and EV cars. Bob Wilson
