@ericy I have a set SXM contract so it doesn't bounce every 6-12 months to some other pricing. Hit,and miss which SXM rep.will negotiate. SXM, I also dislike losing music (Spotify) when I hit a dead carrier zone,or drive through small towns. Same reason I wanted SatNav versus relying on Waze,LTE/5G...

Would users of Tapatalk and similar apps please configure them not to add the signature line. It gets really old having to read that on every message, and frankly we don't care what phone or app you're using. o_O

  4. You can actually delete Sirius, FM, AM or a long list of other inputs from the steering wheel mode button(top button left side of steering wheel) and operate the radio that way rather than using the radio button on the infotainment console.
Push the "STAR" button (third button down left side of info console below map and nav)
Select - steering wheel mode button (left side)
Sirius XM /off (or any other input) by un-checking it from the list.
Just remember the use of the mode button will still remember the last selection you listened to, so if you have deleted Sirius and were listening to it before deselecting it , it will remember until you listen to something else by default .:)
Of course if you use the "radio" button on the info console you still have access to all 3, no way to delete anything there.

  5. What rate are you getting, and what country are you in?

I'm currently paying $36.35 total for 6 months for each of our two cars, plus $2 for a mailed invoice. What I've learned is to call them on the expiration date, when they've extended for $126 or whatever. I call their cancellation number 866-635-2349, not the regular number. Tell them I want to extend at the same rate. If they offer a higher price, tell them I want to cancel; they won't let that happen. If they offer a rate that requires a credit card, I refuse, because once they have your credit card they never let it go. It takes 10 or 15 minutes in all and works every time.

If there's a way to get a contract that self-extends at the good price, I'd like to know about it.

I do something similar. But you almost need to add something to your calendar to remind you to call up and "cancel". Otherwise it automatically renews at the higher rate.

I wish the cable companies would roll over this easily.

l should've added my SXM deal was a fluke for my account. They claim they don't think the lifetime deal will be offered again.Lifetime isn't quite life time either when I got my deal as it sets limits on how many SXM I.D.s are included [3]*
