Service High Voltage Charging

    Greetings:
    2014 Volt with 23,500 miles. The second time that I went to drive it today, I had the above message. Service High Voltage Charging. - What in the heck does this mean, and how did it come about?

    Sounds like your charger is shot or needs help. See your local Chevy dealer. This will still be covered by your 8 year 100k mile battery and drive unit warranty.

    One possible reason is that coolant reservoir is slightly low. Open the hood and check to see if the pink fluid is around the line where it should be. The error will come up even if the line is just slight below the line. Some system have air bubbles that takes years to "bleed out". Sometimes, all you need is to add fluid and reset the error. But dealer can do that easily for you. Generally speaking, there is often no real problem with except the sensors are calibrated to be extra sensitive.
