Hi All, We just bought our second auction clarity and although all of the parts are included I was looking for some kind of video or content to instruct us on how to install the rear hood, trim and bumper cover. Any help would be greatly appreciated. -Bridgette
Well, first of all, your rear bumper beam is missing, I would get that installed before putting the bumper cover on. The bumper cover goes on pretty easily, it snapps into its respective clips, and there are screws at each wheel well and 2 bolts on either side of the area the trunk covers when closed. Interior trim pieces are pretty easy to install, try messing with the pieces until they line up, then use some clips to secure them in place. I can get you the details from the service manual if you want. There is a writing harness on the driver's side you need to connect for bumper sensors and the beeper thing, make sure it's connected before popping the rear bumper into place.
That would be super helpful, thanks TC1782! Do you need my email address? They pictured a bunch of the parts in the auction photos. I think they are all there! Also where would I find a used white fuel door cap that's not $150 on eBay. Is there a place to search out parting out claritys?
I've used this website to get some obscure parts in the past. This hopefully should link to honda clarity rear parts. You can change the zip code to get parts near you. https://www.car-part.com/mobile/index.htm
Thanks, I found a rear bumper cover on eBay for a good price so we're good to go. Looks like I have pretty much every single piece to reinstall the entire rear end in including the clips, bolts and connectors. This album shows all the larger items and then I have three crates of all the smaller items. https://photos.app.goo.gl/X5EE887TismsoZX48 Is there a service manual that shows the complete breakdown of where everything goes on the rear end and in what order? How can I get a copy or copies of the relevant diagrams? Thanks in advance, Bridgette
Not yet but I am planning to purchase the single day download of all the relevant diagrams from here: https://techinfo.honda.com/rjanisis/logon.aspx
Just wondering if anyone has ever had to remove or install a trunk lid? It looks like there are two bolts that have to get installed from the back seat into the hinge with very little clearance.
