Tried US VPN - no go.

If you search the marketplace, do you see 2.01 or the beta or both?

If you look at the marketplace (Mall), you will only find a single entry for Honda.
In my case, it shows the same information as the diagnostics screen (Honda v2.01.54, expiration infinity).

    Autel AP200 scan...
    21,834 miles (mfg date 5/2018); ~70%EV
    50.9 Ah

    Many thanks @MrFixit !!

PS - the saved pdf file gave erroneous values compared to the live data screen on the phone. The battery capacity was listed in the pdf as 3520.4 Ah; in fact most of the pdf data looks wrong.

    Ray:

I think you were deceived. You have to be careful because the AP200 is pretty sluggish when updating this much data. Try again, and wait for a while before you create the PDF. I think you may have saved it while it was in a state of flux.

We have not seen discrepancies between live and .pdf data before.

Yes @Landshark there is a lot of missing and conflicting information on the guts of the Clarity PHEV. I understand why AZ Lithium thought they were Panasonic, because in watching a teardown video (Frank Z youtube channel) when he opens up the cover on the pack there are a number of Panasonic stickers on several components, but not the batteries themselves.

The Blue Energy site dances all around it naming a variety of Honda models including the Clarity Fuel Cell model. But then digging deeper using the marklines.com site for supply chain data on car components, Blue Energy has a listing for supplying the EV batteries for several models including the Clarity PHEV 2017, and in other pages there are supply contracts listed for the 2020 and 2021 Honda Clarity PHEV that name Blue Energy as the battery supplier. Not iron clad info and irrefutable, but it is the best I can find.

Also, in some of the Frank Z videos the Clarity cell modules look just like the pictures from the Blue Energy site.

    Not sure why 3.6 V vs 3.7 V...

I confirm I received the update for the beta code. Now, I can read the battery condition. Have someone tested the other diagnostic functions? The function for parking brake maintenance is no longer working with the beta update. I tried my second phone which did not have the update and the Electric parking brake function is there and it is working perfectly.

I have been focused on the Electric Powertrain, and did not try to compare across the board.
Unfortunately, I don't think there is a provision to go back and forth (unless you happen to have a 2nd 32-bit phone which would remain stuck at 2.01).

Sorry, don't know how to explain this.
Out of the 9 of you, there are now 6 successes.

Yours is not working, and I haven't heard either way from another 2.
I know there are at least 3 others who are in Canada and have been successful, so that's not it.

I do have a pending email with Autel asking them to double-check your S/N but I can't guarantee if / when I will hear back.

My suggestion to you would be to keep it (and order the budget option too). The AP200 has a lot of other things to offer beyond just the battery capacity.

    @Ohliuw
I just received confirmation from Autel that your serial number is properly configured for the update.
Everything seems like it should work. Do you have access to a different device that you could try?

We only have one Android device and a bunch of iOS. It doesn’t work in iOS?

Finally the problem with the parking brake functions is that there are indeed 2 function buttons present, but there is no text written on the buttons, but buttons still work. The top button is used to activate maintenance mode while the bottom button is used to return to normal mode.

Dumb question. The Autel AP200 User Manual uses the acronym VCI 22 times, in the context of "VCI Management" and "VCI Connection" but never defines its meaning there or on their website, that I could find. I'm sure the meaning is obvious to everyone but me. I suspect it is something like Vehicle C(something) I(whatever), I hate using acronyms that I don't understand. Can anyone help me with its true meaning>

Thanks, @Danks. That makes sense. That User Guide is an acronym fest. Reminds me of a business meeting many years ago with Pac Bell. The reports and discussion was drowned in acronyms.

I'm making a reference list of the ones that are new to me.

Thank you and sorry for being late because i had a problem in my on board charger
I checked and it says also 55ah

    @Hazem Abu Asab :
So you successfully got the 2.01.54 update?
A reading of 55 Ah is suspicious unless you just bought the vehicle. Is it a 2021?

If you would like to participate, @Danks has created a shared spreadsheet where you can enter your vehicle information here:

I believe you had mentioned that you had multiple Clarities (4)? Let us know if you have a chance to measure the other ones.

Yes I've got the 2.01.54 update
My car is 2018 base model with 20 k miles on it
Yup i have multiple cars and ill test them all even for comparison
But I'm thinking that the car needs some time for some calibration as the 12v battery was removed during the work on the on board charger
    I'll keep you posted

    Yes, this will be interesting...
We have been suspicious that a 12V disconnect could possibly re-initiate some sort of re calibration of the battery capacity. Your experience could help confirm or deny this. It is also possible that whatever was done with the on-board charger resulted in a re-calibration.

It's interesting that Honda re-calibrates starting with a full-capacity reading. They could have started with a reading of zero and calibrated 'up' rather than starting with a full reading and calibrating 'down', but maybe a zero reading would wreak havoc on other systems that use this value...
