  1. Opt for a 2018 Touring Lease.
Selling price is $23,100. Total lease payment is $10,382 for 36mos. RV set at $14,623. No tax for me since I traded in a car (credited whole tax on Clarity) but no money was put down for Clarity.

+ $1,700 state rebate (when they fund 2020 rebate in June or July, 2019 rebated already depleted)

    Perhaps-
if Honda actually did a little outreach and advertised the discount........
if the Honda dealers admitted upfront that the discount exists......
if the sales people at the dealerships knew what a PHEV is and how it works

Maybe then Clarity would be a force to be reckoned with.

I remember when I bought our Volt three years ago, I had to show the salesperson how to work it.

Just bought a Clarity Touring for $30,000 (+ttl) in SF Bay Area. Probably could have gotten another $500 knocked off if I wasn't so picky on color I wanted. Costco price offered was $30,499, but they had the wrong color. That is before I get my Fed tax rebate. That $6k incentive is excellent!

Don't forget your State of California Clean Vehicle Rebate ($1500) and the PG&E customer rebate ($800). Sign up right away if you care about the 4-6 week wait for the cash. :)

    Enjoy!

$1500 rebate applies to a family with less than 300k gross income.

Signed paperwork for a base trim Clarity in WA state. This was the last one on their lot.

    Net Price: $25,850
Out the door after 9.5% tax: $28,990

We only get the federal tax incentive of $7500 here, so about 21,500 after tax rebate.

What town? What dealer? What year Clarity? What color was the last one on the lot?

I'm not a Costco member - my son is - so I've never heard of these Costco discounts or incentives on cars. What are they and how do they work? Is it something available in Michigan as well as California?

2 different dealers in my area (central NC) have told me that Honda is offering $5100 in manufacturer discounts on 2018s. I was able to get $6k off MSRP quoted as a first offer at 3 different dealers.

    I bought a 2018 base for $26,500 + TTL or $28,000 OTD.

Sales Managers are very eager to move the 2018s off the lot.

The incentives offered are for ZEV participating states.
In CA & OR, we get the huge discounts due to the ZEV participation.
If you live in the northeast, you get even more (ZEV + DFLC).

I think MI, is a non ZEV state so you would have to negotiate off dealer discount only.

Got mine for 29.5+ TTL which included the stupid pro-pack they tried to get $1k for. Ended up paying 500 for it just to leave so it's $29.5

added 7 years 80k miles warranty for another $1500 but is debating on if I should keep it.

Thought I read somewhere that our powertrain warranty is 8y/100k, no?

My vehicle came with Lifetime powertrain warranty from the dealer. (Scott robinson in Southern California)

The extension is for bumper to bumper, which I'm still debating on if it's worth it. I added it since I have 60 days to cancel, chance are the HOV sticker will not come back for this car after 4 years so I'll be getting a new vehicle at that time anyways.
