Part of my morning routine is to ask Alexa to play NPR1, which is the current news followed by something that the editors at NPR think is important and interesting to their listeners. This morning their choice was a short discussion of electric cars. There certainly will be no new information for anyone on this forum, but I am heartened by the attention that the topic is receiving in the general public.

The NPR One app is my favorite audio to play via Android Auto. The national newscast (in the Catch Up folder) is excellent.

The reason I like it is that they include local news. I have not tried it when I was not in my home location; I wonder if it is based on my actual location at the time I play it, or if it just picks "local" depending on my fixed home location.
