So maybe the conclusion is Clarity’s come over randomly based on space available on the boat rather than being a boat load of Clarity’s at a time?

I wish honda was a little more transparent about this and how it works.

Dealers have no clue, and honda says call dealer. its a round loop

 

Any update on your Car ETA or call from dealer ?

 

It will be 3 months at the end of this week and the dealer has no idea when the car will be here, just talked to my dealer last Friday.

Anyone here ordered it in Jan and are still waiting or am I the longest that is still waiting?

 

i have ordered in january and waiting. same update as yours, called dealer on last friday and he has no idea

 

Looks like a batch of around 15 arrived in Vancouver on Apr 12 or 13, as a couple showed up in BC around then, and starting last Friday they started to show up in the GTA (1 Friday, 2 Monday, and 1 Today). Only Touring models have appeared from the batch. Base models are very rare to show up on a dealers web site, hopefully that's because they go directly to the customer without being listed on the web site.

 

That is a positive update. do you have a vin or a link to the ones that showed up on GTA ? using car guru, i dont see any new listings, but it could be the fact you mentioned.

Whitby 498
Formula 497,503

When i go to formula honda, i see no updates at all on inventory of honda clarity. most likely they go to the customers even without making it to their web site listing.

 

Looks like they were only on the website for a day or two and can now only be seen in the google search cache. Probably only some dealers put their customer deliveries on their website, but unlikely any customer deliveries would get to cargurus.

 

I know at least two people who ordered in Feb and they both have the cars. I do not understand the word " Q" has any meaning for Honda Canada

 

Its not a honda problem but seems to be a dealer problem. dealers are unwilling to do dealer trades. so, if you are lucky and happen to place an order with a dealership that has a inventory, you may get it early.

Also, i think the larger wait is for those who want the base model as opposed to touring. most of the vins floating around are all touring

 

I almost dis-agree with you. Dealers are only allowed maximum one in their show room for demo. Even most of the dealership do not even have one. Another most important point is that dealers are NOT allowed to place an orders unless there is a person Name and details attached to the order. I talked to the dealer and he indicated that there is a common Q between for all the dealer's and Honda Prioritizes based on color , Trim touring v/s not touring and so on.. Looks at the delivery details for Tesla. They prioritize high priced delivery first. Same in our case. Those who have ordered base model and color )that do not have bigger order) , goes on back seat.

 

on a better aspect of news, i got a call from my dealer that the unit i had placed is now on the production line. he was unable to give an eta or vin, but stated the production for my unit has started. dont know yet what that means.

i had earlier today called honda canada and asked if i can get some updates, they again, as usual, defered me to the dealer, but did ask me if i wanted to register a case, which i did with my name and phone number

Wow. Ordered the base gray model a few weeks ago. I guess I shouldn't expect anything for at least 4 months?...
I hope the incentive doesn't disappear if we have a change of government here in Ontario in the meantime.

Don't worry about rebate. The rebate is currently defined based on order date not delivery date.
