Jason: Do you know if the June car is green? We were offered a grey one with black interior which we did not accept and that was for June manufacture/July delivery. I will see where my order is at: we ordered Mar 21 12 days after you.

Heard from my dealership. They still heard nothing from Honda Canada as to how many Clarities they will get for June. Said they'll contact me mid-June when they're certain. It does seem clear, however, that they are stopping production for the 2018 model.

So some dealers have heard and some dealers have not? That reeks of deception or incompetence or they are so close to end of the line that they don't know if they can fulfill those last few orders. None of those are good things for those up in the air on this.

Big announcement in April. Big announcement in May.....all just babble.

Me I am going on what my dealer stated, they have been upfront with me and said they will get the notification soon, they balked at any "not going to be delivered talk"

They got a definitive and clear "no more Clarity production for 2018," from Honda Canada. What they do not know is how many of the already produced Clarities will be allocated to them. They were also told that the earliest anyone can get a 2019 model is in January.

No VIN. Sales guy got it wrong. He thought I ordered a white touring. I ordered green. So it seems Ottawa Honda is getting a white touring that isn't necessarily for someone specific. He asked if I wanted the white instead of green. I told him I want the green I ordered and he said there's no ETA on that one yet. So, I'm pretty sure my order will not be fulfilled. Actually, I'm pretty sure no orders are being fulfilled. I think dealers are just getting whatever Honda Canada is sending them and it's up to them to get rid of them. I think we're going to see a bunch of dealers contacting people asking if they'd agree to change colour option. What I hope will happen is dealers speaking to each other to see if they have colours they could swap to fulfill existing orders. Likely won't happen though.

The car in June is white. Not sure if it's base or touring. I told him I did not want white. I honestly don't think they'll be able to fulfill our orders for green.

Just heard from dealer and they have informed me that they have a white touring coming in mid June. Finally some answers.

Henley Honda in St Catharines. I ordered on January 19th. That being said I went from base model to give me any model or color 2 months ago when things looked dim on the base model availability.

January 19th! I would be going crazy. I ordered on February 13th and I'm having a hard time keeping my composure when talking to the dealer. Well if you don't get one no one should.

I ordered in January with the need for getting the vehicle in April or May. I have my lease coming due this Saturday so I will have to do without a second vehicle for only a couple of weeks. I had started to look at other vehicles this last weekend and going for some test drives, but it felt like whichever way I was compromising something where with the Clarity I'm getting everything that I want. With the Ontario Rebate, these are the best car deals going around and I can't believe how nobody knows about them. It's a steal right now. I'm just glad the saga is coming to a happy conclusion. Good luck on getting yours and from the sounds of it, take whatever color they offer you.

I've been without a second car for over a month now. I was told the order would take 4-6 weeks and I'm at 15 weeks today. I forgot about colour and trim long ago. Just get me a car. The only reason I haven't moved on is because of the features and size of car. There really isn't anything in the market that competes with it. The Volt is a really good car but it lacks the space the Clarity has. As you mentioned, the price is a steal compared to other vehicles that burn far more gas.

I guess the lesson on that is that it really does depend on the quality of your dealer.
Honda told dealers they were going to be alloted X amount (say 4) but then went and signed 4+2 extra deals with clients.
They really screwed over their clients.
Would be nice to hear back which dealers are not able to fulfill orders that were placed a couple of months ago, it means they probably knew they were overselling. I would treat their name as mud.

No the car is White. I would accept anything at this point if I were you as I don't know if they are going to get anymore this year.

Sisley Honda has their Green Demo for sale now. Now that there are no more being offered, they are willing to sell it. Unfortunately, the are being greedy SOB's and have added over $7000 dealer add on's and are unwilling to discount or even wave Freight and PDI (which is normally pretty standard to waive on a Demo). All in $51,659 plus taxes (and before any extended warranty either). Talk to David. He's been a good guy, but I personally think it's ridiculous that dealers add all the crap onto demos in order to try and gouge customers. ($888 for tire protection, lol, you can buy 4 tires for that, Rust protection module $1088, the list just goes on on on with the crap they added to the car. However, if you want it, it's available and can be obtained now. I just couldn't do it.

A lot of threads about Sisley Honda have this same theme.

    Base
    Grey
Barrhaven Honda (which is linked to Ottawa Honda)

So my dealer (or actually her sales manager) just called me and tell me that I have the choice of getting my deposit back, get the 2019 model (which means 99% I will lose my $14k rebate) or pay $5000 extra to get the Touring.

Oh, also even if I choose the Touring trim, the car won't be here until Sept of this year right before the rebate deadline.

Seriously, is that not switch and bait? The link below is fro the Competition Bureau in regards to switch and bait. Can we not file a complain or something? Any lawyer among us (or anyone know any lawyer)?

This is the form where you can file a complain
