I just got the update to fix the range problem but my clueless dealer installed a control unit update by mistake. (After much effort, I finally convinced them to install the correct update which fixed the range.) A few days later, I noticed that the autolock system no longer beeps and prevents locking when the trunk is opened. The doors lock as expected even after the trunk is opened. I think the behavior changed because of the control unit upgrade since I don't remember any of the many people who got the range fix mention this. Anyone else notice this? --Dave
Didn't try that but I assume that will still prevent the trunk from closing. I'll try it next time I use the car.
That's comforting. The beep I'd like to get rid of is the one that occurs when I pull on the left regen paddle and the ACC was on. The regen kills the ACC which certainly makes sense but my passengers ask what was the beep. I can always cancel the ACC then hit the left paddle but I wish I could just turn the feature off. It's not like I'm not paying attention. I've learned that the radar can lose sight of the car in front of me so I have to pay extra attention to the icon.
