If they're not going to give you control over the climatization temperature, the over-achieving temperatures the designers chose are appropriate. In the case where climatization was started just a few minutes before departure, you want either heat or AC to be going full-blast. If the interior is too warm on a cold day or too cold on a warm day, the situation is easy to remedy quickly.

It's written in the user's manual, that indeed it sets automatically to a "comfort temperature".
Something around 20°C. It doesn't matter if it's winter or summer, it's always same temperature.

It also says that it'll stop automatically after a certain amount of time (in case you enabled it and finally choose not to take your car).

I speculate this capability is not allowed via the app for safety/liability reasons. Key fob range is short enough that you can see whether or not there are any obstructions (like a person/pet/appendage) that would make rolling the window all the way up a Very Bad Idea™. When sending commands via the app, you could be well out of visible range and have no idea that asking the window to roll all the way up could cause harm.

Anyone have any luck with the charge and climate timer on the app? My remote services came back but the timer is still unavailable on the app.

Mine is the same as yours. Remote services back but I get an error message when I try to select a charge or climate timer. Dealer called this morning to ask if it was working yet so he’s raising it with Mini who are on holiday until Wednesday so hopefully there will be some news later in the week. I assume you see the same screen I do when you try to access the charge timer function?

yep, exact same as yours. I just got my car a week ago and it sounds like you got yours recently too. Seems like we’re having the exact same issues.

Yep, I picked her up on the 19th. Loving the car, it’s just a drag waiting for them to sort this out.

Wow, very close to mine! Got mine on the 20th. It arrived to the dealer the 17th but I had the bonnet stripes and mirror caps changed to white (I found a sage green Countryman SE already built but didn’t like the black roof, stripes and mirror caps) so it took an extra couple days.

Same situation. My Remote Services have started working except for the "charge or climate timer". My dealer said it can take a week or so as Mini needs to add you to the system after they have confirmation of purchase. Does not explain why it is half working though :) Only thing I can add is that it seems to be worldwide as I am Vancouver Canada and SpeedyRS looks to be from Scotland.

    Love the car though!

delivery of an electric mini on Christmas eve, eventually managed to get a code for the app only to find that I too cannot set departure times etc. From it just get a message saying 'charge and climate timer not available please try later'

All other remote services working just fine, have deleted and reinstalled the app quite a few times but no luck sadly :(

Any suggestions would be much appreciated as have given up waiting for mini to come back to me....

Following your instructions, I can get my app to spit out the spreadsheet, but I can't seem to find the function to edit the cost for electricity. Could you add a little detail or include screen shots to help me find it? Thank you in advance.

on the line that says total cost, do you see on the right a word that says “tariff” in blue? If so, click that and it’ll let you enter your rate.

Got mine on the 16th issues with remote as everyone else. All solved now except as with others the charge schedule timer. Been told by mini support to update services, but that does not help. Must be an issue with their software.

No, my version of the app has no reference at all to "total cost" or "tariff." Are you in the UK or the US? Maybe the app versions are different? Mine, under "about" shows version 1.7.2 (11196), which is the latest available version here in the US per the Google Play Store.

You don't see this New Tariff link? I'm also on Android and in the US.

I did not understand why it is called NEW TARIFF. Total cost and Tariff are two completely different numbers. I simply put in the average total cost per kWh. Must be a British thing!

Anyone got an update on the original post's issue. Are we all still in the same boat ... Remote Services are generally working now BUT "Charge & Climate timer" feature still returning "Charge & Climate timer not available" ?

  22. I have the same version and build number running on iOS 15.2 (An iPhone 6s and an 11” iPad Pro) in Canada.
I was able to set the tariff rates but I could only set 2 rates. (Ontario’s Hydro One utility has 3 rates - peak, mid and low).

Nope, this exact same page in my copy of the app ends with the line "Precondition for departure" but does not show the last line in yours "Total cost - new tariff".

I am on Android and speculated that maybe you were outside the US and/or perhaps using an Apple device, but neither seems to be the case. Is your s/w version the same as mine (1.7.2 (11196))? If it is, then I am stumped on this one. I guess I could try reinstalling the app to see if the additional cost line would appear, but on the other hand I don't want to mess anything up that works well otherwise.

Thanks for your patience and your help!
