Domenick will create a sticky thread section for us. Please give your recommendations on this thread. I assume we don't want the sticky section to be too big. I have not been here long, so I will defer to the more 'mature' forum members , but my recommendation for threads and title "standardization" would be as follows: 1) MINI Orders: Production and Delivery Tracking (Google Spreadsheet) https://www.insideevsforum.com/community/index.php?threads/delivery-spreadsheet-lets-track-these-inbound-ses.9257/ 2) MINI Delivery: Stories and Photos https://www.insideevsforum.com/community/index.php?threads/delivery-stories.8380/ 3) MINI Charging: EVSE and Home Charging https://www.insideevsforum.com/community/index.php?threads/evse-recommendations.8985/ 4) MINI Tires: Summer, Winter, All-Season https://www.insideevsforum.com/community/index.php?threads/tires-summer-winter-all-season.9496/ 5) MINI Forum Stats: Trim Choices and Average Production/Delivery Timing https://www.insideevsforum.com/community/index.php?threads/mini-stats-trim-choices-production-and-delivery-times-shared-album.9747/
I will work up a thread incorporating some FAQ type material - the User Manual and the Visual guide. Maybe include items such as the trim level breakdowns and the configurable options on the MiniUSA web site.

Hey, all. Thanks for taking the initiative on this. Just wanted to add that it's important to keep the number of sticky threads to a basic minimum. The Clarity section of the forum, which has been our most active over the history of the site, has two sticky threads and I feel like that should be the maximum. In the case of MINI Cooper SE, although I'd like to keep it to one, and maybe temporarily stickying any urgent recall notices, we can try more than that at first. Of course, the main sticky thread should be a FAQ with links to many of these others. Check out the FAQ in the Clarity section to see how we've done it there.
I'm active on the Inside EVs Clarity forum (that's my Clarity PHEV in the showroom in the photo to the left). I didn't want to be a wet blanket, suggesting fewer sticky threads, but I agree with Domenick. I like not having to scroll past a bunch of sticky threads that I have already read to get to the newest posts. A post in the FAQ sticky thread could direct new members to the spreadsheet and the spreadsheet thread. BTW, I've been chastised by one Clarity-thread curmudgeon because I mentioned my MINI too often. I'm sure he was tempted to write, "get a room," but actually wrote "get a forum." I apologized and said I'd keep my electric MINI comments to the MINI Cooper SE sub-forum. On the Clarity forum I now refer to my SE as "the car that cannot be named." Our excellent Clarity has been very neglected for two months since we got our MINI Cooper SE. Both my wife and I pick the MINI first and only when we're both out does the Clarity get to see the light of day.
Here would be my suggested format on the FAQ thread. The first thread referenced in the list does NOT exist yet. It is posted below the list of threads here for review before I actually create it. Nice! Great stuff! A question about topic 1: Since we have some members from other countries, should we have 1 thread that captures/discusses the different configuration options for each market (as we learn them), or a separate thread for each market (with a link to each thread captured under topic 1)?
I think we could have separate threads for each market under the FAQ. The Clarity FAQ is up to 13 threads and we are starting with 6, so it's manageable. So #1 could be labeled "MINI USA Information", and then other links can be added for UK and Australia, etc., when some intrepid people from those markets gather the information.
When it comes to the build thread I do think we shouldn't limit it to just the US. It would be hard to do every single country, but maybe some of our more common ones? While I like the pics, I don't think they are quite necessary. Especially when we never know what will change build wise from one year to the next. I think links to the pdf and the site are sufficient. Then if someone has questions we can answer specifics. JMO though.
I tried to design it to be the "2021" build trims. I figure the thread has to be updated for each model year, anyway, as the links to the 2022 user manual and possibly even the main build site, might change. So that's why I was thinking it was okay to have a visual guide. But I can remove those if people want. I'm going to edit it to include a link to the unauthorized user guide - I think that goes along well with the MINI spirit!
Yes to the unauthorized user guide. Seems to be lost on many modern Mini owners. I suppose I just thought the PDF showed great what were the options with better pics. Also showed that all wheels are options on the top level. Sig Plus also can choose from the 2 Signature levels. I think that was very well put together, though the website shows the extras best
