New software available

I get 'updates temporarily unavailable' error in the update app

 

Curious, there is no way to do a car software update OTA, right?

 

Now I see these SW updates can be installed via the end user: Notice | Official Kia Navigation Update Website
Not OTA but at least I do not need to go to the dealer.

 

Just for reference, I flashed the 2022 version without issue.

Canada version.

 

File size wasn't an issue. The changes are in the update notes.

It took me about 50-55 minutes to install. 48 for the first 2 sections, 2 mins for the last 3 lol

 

I was able to download the version for a 2019 Niro EV. Will try to install later...

 

I installed this software, but now my location based charging is not functioning as it was, and in fact, will not function at all when I set my location to my home and enable location based charging.

Anyone else have this experience or able to reproduce the issue?

 

Can you please share where you found this update, and any steps to installing?

I bought an extra SD card with a previous version from the web site here https://www.mapnsoft.com/kia/customer/account/login/

I just swap back and forth when new versions come out. Makes it very easy!

 

Would some of you please state the sw version you have updated to?

 

Any Canadians unable to download the software through the program? Says it is temporarily unavailable for two days now.

 

Use the 2022 version, it works fine.

When I try to, it just says Updates are Temporarily Unavailable.

Maybe I'll have to VPN or something... how odd.

 

Interesting, I get the same now.

 

Good to know that it's not just me. My last update borked my "Only charge at charging location" settings so I want to try to reload the firmware hoping that it resolves the issue. Pretty frustrating.
