Thank you for the complement. Working special effects in the entertainment industry, modifying things is second nature to me.
Stupid question but how is the negative cap supposed to be installed? My car came back from the service with the cap in the cup holder, and I don't see how to firmly attach to the negative terminal.. Edit: never mind, I'm blind. Battery has clear rails where to attach the cap.
I can confirm that this console tray fits perfectly, and makes the console a lot more useful. I also stuck one of those back-of-your-phone credit card organizers to the lid of the console for charging network cards.
Tweak alert To celebrate my 10th year driving electric, I am acquiring these new license plates: Paid for by the soon to be arriving "gas rebate"
Add these to the little window at the back. Bought them on eBay search for "Rear Window Sports C Pillar Panel Plate 2p (Fits : 2018 2022 Hyundai Kona & EV )"
Add these to the door sill on all 4 doors.. Nice clean chrome look. Bought them on eBay. Search for "Hyundai Kona Car Accessories Door Sill Trim Protector Scuff Plate Auto Parts"
This was shown before but in my case I put 2 under the console lid. They are dual pocket so they hold more cards. Good for holding car wash cards, store cards, and charger cards. Bought on eBay search for "1X Silicone Credit Card Holder Pocket Sticker Adhesive Pouch Case For Cell Phone"
Bought a good set of "sports mud flaps". A couple of companies supply these, your choice, with hardware that fit in the factory locations. I found the sides and back window stays a lot cleaner. The comparison picture shows the back flap vs the factory supplied one. Not only is it longer but covers the full tread of the tire.
Added HEPA cabin air filter. "LUFTT LHC104" is a perfect fit. Bought on Amazon Canada. search for "LUFTT HEPA Cabin Filter LHC104 - for Hyundai/KIA (97133-F2200 replacement)". Not sure if it works all that well as someone rolled coal in front of me and did smell diesel, but may have been worse without it.
There is one on eBay search for "HEPA13 and Kona EV". For me at least it took many weeks to arrive from South Korea, and is a little more expensive. Good that there is a choice of filters available.
An update on this filter.... With the windows open in downtown traffic at lunchtime the air quality is quite poor. With the windows up and air on there is no hint of exhaust or diesel smell. For me at least its worth the cost.
First post here and I have not read the entire thread. I am getting a 2022 Kona EV Preferred Trim (Canada) at the end of August. I was wondering if anyone installed an artificial FRUNK on the space in the "engine bay" on the passenger side. It looks like it could fit a small container there of some sort edit: it seems someone is selling something
Coincidentally, I just received the Frunk.at one for my 2021. Fits very snug - they use all the space back to the black plastic trim - and has little locks on the front and no wiggle once it's in place. Takes a week or two to make it to you, so be patient. Gives a decent amount of storage space.
I got the Frunk.at one as well for my 2021 US model. I like the clean fit. I keep my bike helmet and cleats in there on riding days. I think there may be some differences in the EU model because there is a hump in one spot which I can't figure why that is there. All in all I give it 4.0 stars.
I found a Canadian video and on that left side there is some electronic unit there (could be the heat pump as it is standard on Canadian models) Here is a pic I found on the web for reference, would that Frunk still fit with that unit on the left
