I’ve had a JuiceBox 40 since I got my Clarity 3 years ago and it has worked flawlessly for the entire time. Just sayin’. Could there be an electrical problem with the circuit that it is installed on? I had a new circuit installed when I got mine.

Hmmmm. ‘Neil Blanchard’ is not a very common name but one I recognize. You wouldn’t happen to be the one and only Neil Blanchard of the CoCoCrew podcast, would you?

I'm going to visit the EV Doctor since his shop is close to my home in San Diego. https://evdoctor4earth1.weebly.com
Dave said it'll cost $100 to fix. I'm intrigued by the used EVSE's he has for sale around $200 + shipping.... I don't think it's a coincidence that many of them are Juiceboxes. I'm also considering the AxFAST 32Amp Level 2 Portable Electric Vehicle Charger from Costco. Their return policy beats any warranty.

Yikes! Sorry to hear about that. I've definitely heard of others having some difficulty with their JuiceBoxes, but not often multiple units as you describe. I've been using their products for over 5 years now in my garage and haven't had a problem.

Was your unit mounted outdoors or inside of a garage?

I’m glad someone commented on this thread. Our utility is pushing these with a discount. Might want to skip that brand.

My Juicebox is mounted outside with a mount that I purchased from Juicebox. The unit is out of direct sunlight and in the shade. It's never been wet because it's mounted under an eve. It's mounted above 3' above the ground. I'm hesitant that these units are truly built to live outside given my experience. They should stop saying it's ok outdoors.

Mine has been mounted outdoors, about six feet off the ground and under a south-facing eave, for the past 2 years with no issues (so far). @turtleturtle, I would consider purchasing a second one based on its performance thus far, especially at a discount. Another reason I bought it (other than wifi) was the capability for multiple Juiceboxes to share the same circuit, automatically managing the amp load while charging two or more cars. I plan to buy a second PHEV/EV at some point down the road.

Ok so here is my experience … buy Juicebox 40 runs ok first month then starts dropping internet numerous times a day … contact the manufacturer support who advise it’s my Internet provider that’s the problem… so I contact them and they run checks on my internet and say no it’s the device that’s the problem …. So here I am waiting for a response from manufacturers which are now slow to respond …I’m left man in the middle $1000 spent on a charging unit that isn’t working properly!! WOULD YOU BUY ONE AND JOIN ME … I HIGHLY DOUBT IT !

Based on your description, your problem is quite likely related to your WiFi signal strength. Your Juicebox could be fine, and your 'internet service' could be fine as both manufactures have stated. It is definitely worth trying some things with your WiFi before giving up on the Juicebox. Just because it worked for a month does not prove that something has failed. WiFi can be tricky and it doesn't take much to cause a weak signal to start dropping out.

Some things to try - Re-position your router. If you can move it closer to the Juicebox (even temporarily) try that. If you cant move it closer, just try re-orienting it. You can elevate it, rotate it, move the antennas to different orientations. If you can improve or degrade it by trying these things, it is further evidence of a weak signal. If you can be convinced that a weak signal is the cause, and re-positioning / re-orienting isn't a good enough 'fix', then a WiFi extender can offer a permanent solution.

Do NOT assume, for instance, that since your phone's WiFi works fine when it is in the garage near the JuiceBox that the WiFi signal is not the culprit. Different antennas / receivers have different performance characteristics.

There have also been a couple of reports here that there was some interaction between other WiFi devices that affected the connectivity of the Juicebox. These members solved their problem by activating a 'guest' network on their router, and using this 'guest' network exclusively for the Juicebox. I think this is less likely than signal strength, but it has worked for some others.

Most of us have had very good experiences with JuiceBoxes... Mine has been flawless for close to 3 years, and I love it. There have been some problems, and sometimes the problems get more attention here than those with good experiences.

I forgot to mention one other thing...

Knowing the IP address of your JuiceBox allows you to open it's web page. Of course, you need to be connected at the time to do this...
The JuiceBox web page shows a signal strength (bars and a number). This will give you a feel for how good your WiFi signal is.
Here is what mine looks like (signal strength circled in red. In my case, 2 bars with -60 dBm):

As I mentioned, mine has been problem free with this signal strength.

It's possible that the neighbors WiFi is causing your Juicebox to drop out. Have you trying using a WiFi analyzer phone app to see if that is an issue?

A WiFi analyzer app may show a channel that has less interference. In which case, you can try changing the channel on your router. Also if your Juicebox accepts 5Ghz you can try that too, since the signal doesn't travel as far as the 2.4Ghz frequency.

New problem for me. My JB is almost two years old, provided by my utility (Puget Sound Energy). The EVSE itself is working fine. But I changed my ISP on Sunday, and now need to connect the JB to my new access point. Problem is, the configuration page isn't loading. I'm connected to the EVSE at 10.10.10.1, but the screen that is supposed to show the different available access points won't load. It just sits there with a spinning icon. I know it's worked in the past, as I've had to reconnect it a couple of times after a power failure. Anyone have any ideas?

I'd contact support. They actually have a great support team there. Kris and Mary are two of the most knowledgeable support pros in the industry and they lead the customer support team at Enel X.

Found the problem. Their support document says to use either the IP address or use setup.com. Using the URL the page loaded perfectly. Makes no sense why the IP address attempt failed, but using setup.com I had it connected back up in moments.

I have a curiosity question. I have a 2 month old Juicebox 32, which works well so far. I've learned how to charge to a desired percentage (+/- 2%) by "fudging" the battery capacity to 117% of its reported value (2020 Niro PHEV). I believe my fudging corrects for losses in the battery & charging system. But what does the display shown below mean?

In this case, I'd started charging with the car reporting 83% and when I took the screenshot it was at ~96%. I know the Juicebox cannot communicate with the car and I had not told juice.net the initial SOC. But how to interpret 2 miles current charge and 22 out of 26? (BTW, 26 miles is the reported EV range although I generally get about 30.)

I have a Juicebox 40 and my LED bar is white, but the app says my unit is offline. My router shows it connected to the internet. I've tried disconnected it and reconnecting it a bunch of times. Not sure how to fix my issue.
