  1. Washed my car today and noticed a few scratches in the paint. Am I having bad luck or does the Hyundai paint job on the Kona scratch easily?

I have not heard anyone talking about this and mine has not seemed to have that problem, though I've only had mine for about 5 weeks...

Did you wash it yourself or take it through a car wash?

  4. Washed it myself.

  5. Can't say this has been one of my concerns, so far my clear on red base paint has been holding up well over the last 2 winters.

Yeah, the paint scratches easy. They are not deep scratches, but more like swirl marks.

I would highly recommend getting a microfiber wash pad. It is very gentle on the paint.

Always first use water to rinse any dirt particles off your car (at least 2-3 times), before attempting to use any cloth/wash pad to mechanically wipe on the paint.

If you can use touchless carwash, I would recommend that.
