Yes, Aberdeen, Southern Pines and Pinehurst are adjacent, and I forgot that the dealer is just over the line in Aberdeen. I want to be careful to not trigger a range war between dealers regarding availability of this update - just wanted to let anyone in my area know they have it available, and that they were successful installing it for me in short order.

After the update, I discovered that the Charging Schedule was lost. I was able to restore it on HondaLink.

The currently displayed HV Range of 357 miles is still a bit higher than realistic, but I expect it will take some driving with ICE running to let it sense the actual fuel use rate in order to make a better estimate. I plan to do some highway driving in HV mode tomorrow to check that out. I'll report back after that exercise if there is any significant change.

Interesting. vicw’s new HV range estimate after software up date is identical to mine (357). Might be a default #. Should become more realistic with additional HV/ICE post update (we all hope). Anybody else?

Thank you so much for posting this. I just join. Have an appointment with the dealer in dalton ga. I’m going to call them and see if they have the update.

I took a short drive today to see the effects of the HV Range Fix. I drove about 20 miles, 18 of it in HV mode. The reported HV Range dropped from the initial 357 to 346 miles, short of a 1/1 ratio, but I guess the calculation may include some offset due to partial use of battery power. I think it will take more extensive driving distances in HV Mode, especially after the battery has been depleted down to 2 segments, to give it an opportunity to do extensive fuel use sensing, to get a better idea of how accurate it will prove to be in the long term. It certainly is encouraging to have it down from that ridiculous Pre-Range Fix 999 miles estimation, into a more real-world 346 miles.

This is for Canadian Clarity only.

So my friend just received her Touring today and I went with her to pick up her car. I mentioned to the dealer regarding the service bulletin and she went to talk to the service manager. They look in their system and there is nothing mentioned regarding this fix and they also commented that Canadian bulletin has a different naming/numbering system so this 18-069 is not a valid code.

One of the service guy contacted Honda Canada but he said he might hear from them hopefully Monday. But as of today, Canadian Clarity has no problem at all from Honda Canada's point of view as a fix is not available.

I show the service manager that this brand new car is showing a total range of 683km which is way more than the stated range of 554km (or something like that) and he said until Honda Canada recognized this as a problem, there is nothing the dealer can do.

Got the A1 service done along with the software update today. My HV range now shows a much better 299, but when I got in the car to drive off the driver's display said next service is in four months, which I'm pretty sure is way off.

    Update on the update:
Hasn’t seemed to affect anything else:
Level 1 and 2 charging unaffected
    Radio station presets kept
Econ, Sport, EV/normal all work same
(Can’t make myself press the evil HV button yet)
    EV range estimate approx same
    Drivability/power unchanged
Maint.Minder giving same time to next sevice
Nav and center screen same as usual
    iPhone integration/apps unchanged
Climate control, Honda Link, preconditioning unaffected (note vicw reported recharge schedule lost but restorable w Honda Link)

So I can’t see that it affected anything else and seems to be glitch free.

They may not have reset the maintenance minder. You can do it on the head unit

Before my appointment it said I was 7 days overdue for maintenance so I think they reset it. Anyone else getting four month intervals between maintenance? That seems like ICE timeframe.

I checked mine yesterday, after the HV Fix. I showed 6 months. I am driving only about 520 miles per month.

I thought it was supposed to be every 10,000 miles. I certainly won't hit that in four months.

So the timing on this is great since my wife has an oil change scheduled for Tuesday. Glad to see that Honda took this issue seriously.

My appointment was yesterday. Had about 3/4 of gas and my HV range went from 700+ miles to 279 miles. Seems much .ore accurate now. I love this car. It is special for sure.

Now if they'd only take the SiriusXM pre-conditioning and channel mix problems affecting the radio in the Clarity and other models seriously (pun intended)...

The new Honda Link update now gives us a very quick and easy way to make a ticket wirh Honda and gives a phone number that an actual human being picks up on. Perhaps if enough people make an official complaint this way, Honda will do what they did to the HV range bug. Make ticket first, then call and enter ticket #, and give verbal explanation for the double whammy.

(Now if the HL update had just not removed the time to full charge and notification of stopped charge, GRRR!)

I upgraded HondaLink the other day and I still get notified when charging is complete. I used the app to open a ticket for the missing time-to-complete-charging info.
