It has happened to me three times this week where it wouldn't respond for the half hour prior to me getting to my car when I wanted to turn on climate control. Of course, most of the spot-checks I did on the app during the day work, just not when I really want to use it.

Thanks for this information. I upgrade to iOS12 today and HondaLink wouldn’t connect unless it was plugged into the car. Deleted the app, reconnected it in the car and now it appears to be working again. Keeping fingers crossed it will still be working tomorrow. Very convenient to see how charging is going and certainly a fan of being able to turn on the climate on my way to the car. I’m sure I’ll appreciate it a lot more in February.

Updated to iOS12 yesterday and the HondaLink and Siemens VersiChargeSG mobile management apps worked well without having to reinstall ... unlike the upgrade to iOS11.4.3.

After charging my car at a L2 charger I get a notice from HondaLink that charging has stopped. The app then no longer will connect to the car so I can’t see statuses. Don’t care so much about that, but I can’t remotely climate control the car. Has anyone else seen that? The dealer can’t troubleshoot this issue (they say) since they don’t have an L2 charger.

I thought Honda was requiring dealers to get EVSEs. Even if that wasn't the case, how can a dealer defend the idea that charging an electric car is something they'll never need to do?

My dealer just installed 3 Level 2 EVSEs. I asked if they were going to let people charge their cars there. He said the EVSEs will be used to provide a complimentary charge for cars in for service. They'll be turned on only during business hours, and no non-Honda cars will be welcome to use them.

Honda dealers (at least in MA) are not interested in selling these cars. They don’t talk about them and don’t put them on display. I was at this dealer for 1 1/2 hours today and talked to several people who worked there. They know nothing about the clarity. One even told me that they don’t even have them in stock. I checked their website and they have 5 in inventory. They must be in the basement because they were nowhere to be seen and there wasn’t even any marketing around that I could see.

Dealers in MA have basements? I believe the theory that the dealers fear they won't be earning much money servicing electric cars. Perhaps that's why Honda set up the Maintenance Minder to herd the Claritys back to the dealers after just a few days out in the pasture. The company wants their dealers to be happy.

You can try MA dealers that are listed on this table (http://massenergywebservices.com/drivegreen/table-all.php), as they seem to be more interested in PHEV cars. You may need to request a sales person on their staff who knows the most about the Clarity. Not many know it well.
