I understand that they can be adjusted with a couple of screws. I can’t find the adjustment screws. Can anyone help?
I found this video of the Fit's headlight adjustment, which another member had mentioned. Not positive it's the same sort of adjustment method, but it's worth taking a look. Let us know if this helps.
Thanks you very much. I was able to find the adjuster quite easily after watching the video. I was looking for “philips head screws” and this is quite different.
Domenick, you da man! That’s exactly what’s under my hood, just without the helpful up and down arrows. My driveway slopes so I’m looking for a level area 25’ ares with a wall and I’ll use this info to align them properly.
My understanding is the dealer really should adjust those as part of their inspection, but seems they often don't these days, or maybe do so incorrectly. All those complaints on here about how bad the headlights are and I was thinking, man, these are the best headlights I have had in the car. Are the brights separately adjustable? My brights do seem a bit high, but my dims are great.
Lows and highs are joined at the hip and unfortunately I don’t think they can be separately adjusted. I suspect the reason your dims seem so good is because they put all their illumination in a pool directly in front of the car and make it seem like they’re doing a good job. In reality they’ve not putting much illumination further down the road making it easy to over drive them. Try parking side by side another car at night and I think you’ll see what I mean. I’m looking for a place to adjust to try to solve this but you can only adjust them so much until the high beams are too high. And the high beams are nothing to write home about anyway. The ultimate insult of my high beams was when I left them on one night and no one flashed me! This may be a poor design that we’ll just have to live with. Will post if it works.
