I'm in the market for tires on my 2021 Tesla Model Y. I'm planning to buy them in April 2023. What I found a YouTube video from the Engineering Explained channel. Be aware that this video was sponsored by Hankook. Anyway, the video does a (IMO) good job explaining what went into the design of the Hankook Ion EVO tire. Unless I find something better, I will buy these tires. Thoughts?
I had seen the same. From my Prius days, I learned we can get low rolling resistance tires that last +50,000 mi. GOOD LUCK! Bob Wilson
Go to a European tyre selling website. Browse for Y fitment tyres, looking for A rated rolling resistance. Read the reviews. Tyres sold in the EU must have a tyre label that classes rolling resistance, wet grip and gives a noise figure. You don't need to rely on marketing BS... Unfortunately, many tyres sold in the US are not available in Europe, so no rating. OEM tyres are usually a decent option. I'm personally loving the OEM summer tyres on my Mini.
