Hi. There is known issue with e-niro E710 motor. I have 2021 eNiro model. Is there some way how to detect, do I have this motor? Or is it save to assume that 2021 model year has already newer motor that have some fixes applied. ( E711 and E701 or even E702) ? https://insideevs.com/news/461090/owners-hyundai-kia-electric-motor-issues/
Crank your wheels to the right, park your car and turn it off. Take out your cell, use your camera and put your hand behind the right-wheel. Take a look at your screen while doing this and look for a sticker on the motor which should be visible. Focus on it, snap a pic, should give you your answer. You likely have an E710.
"SMART" answer... bet there are no stickers on motor, so I am asking, can It be detected from VIN number or model year.
I followed the instructions from Kia Guy. He's spot on. My 2019 has a P/N 36500-0E710. Sorry for the bad photo...
There's a sticker on mine... https://elmassian.com/index.php/electronics-aamp-gadgets/vehicles/kia-niro-ev/kia-niro-faqs down a ways on the page
