Well, depends on what they mean by 'Sales' as almost no one actually receives the car and no one know if or when we will actually get the car. My dealer starts with 6-8 weeks when I put my deposit down in late Jan and now they are saying 3-4 months for me and my friend who just ordered a couple of weeks ago is 4-6 months. And if for whatever reason, we can't get the car before the rebate is cancelled in Ontario, how many of us will still want the car?
agree with scuba. the same rhetoric of dont know when it will be delivered. i have ordered one about 2 and half months ago and have recieved no updates on a possible delivery schedule. dealer says call honda, honda says call delaer
Has anyone been able to get any details about their order? Get a VIN number? Anything? I'm quite thankful for this forum, it's my coping mechanisms until I get my car

No. we have to wait till our car build starts and at that point in time our dealer will know. Did you contacted your dealer , since you booked your Clarity ? I do not know what will be the practical time line , but I know one person ( touring model) , who booked in Feb in Pickering , ON and his delivery already ready at dealership. He is planning to pick up this coming Saturday , so don't loose hope. we should get the delivery in max 12 week time. I do not know if they will prioritize touring v/s regular model.
The demand is in three province : ON , Quebec and BC , so there will be at least 119/3 = 40 clarity per month for ON. There is only @ 70 dealers in ON and there will be so many dealers who do not have any orders , so I am very hopeful that we will get in 3 month time.
Looks like delivery is total guesswork until it is in the build queue at the factory at which time they know the VIN, and delivery should only be around 3+ weeks for shipment. Did anyone get a VIN any earlier? As for the numbers, from a google search of VINs, I see that there have been around 471 cars imported to Canada so far, and only around 10 (1 in QC, 3 in BC, rest in ON) still show up on dealer web sites. So probably around 150 were imported for the launch and sold last year, with 288 sold this year, the rest would be demos and cars not yet delivered. I have noticed all the base model VINs have disappeared from dealer web sites in the last couple of weeks, hopefully we are due for a big boat load of them soon There is a pattern in the VIN numbers where there is a range for base models, then a range for touring, so they are likely built in batches in the factory, and not interleaved on the line. Same would be true for the US models which have a different VIN sequence, so hopefully the production line will build a large run for Canada.
You are right about the observation on the disappearance of the base models from dealer sites. i have been looking that through carguru and have been noticing that most of the ones available in canada are the touring ones, and little to none for base. another observation i made was this is being shipped from japan. so i hope there is a quarterly delivery of sorts which should hopefully be upcoming. frustrating part is there is little to no visibility on honda's schedule and delivery timelines.
We ordered ours Mar 22 and were told to expect it by June 20. One thing to note as this is the first year of production: Both my sons work in auto parts plants and both have said - Don't push for early delivery. It takes a few months to get kinks out of the manufacturing line and the quality of the build will grow as Honda gets more experience building them - part of the continuous improvement process. We have asked the dealer to wait for the one being built now to arrive in 3 months rather than accept an earlier unit with potential quality issues. Just one data point and view I have not seen here yet.

I noticed the US dealers are beyond 10000 in VIN number now. If they have slowed in sales hopefully they will make the Canadian versions now, since US dealers are stocked in many places, especially where hybrids don't sell. Canadian advertising the Clarity, not sure where they've shown this ad.
