They need a sweat emoji on here for those rims! They give the Clarity a whole new look!

Also they're probably a mint less to replace if something happens to one. Don't ask me how I know.

Here’s a weird one. Here’s a few pics of the standalone “L” DRL someone is selling on eBay.

  6. Minor gripe, a lot of the aerodynamic panels such as the rear brake scoop and held on by adhesive. The panel doesn’t even sit well, minor, but worth mentioning.

Interesting. Mine displays warning when port is open. You should get that checked out.

Mine did this the other day, but not until I had driven a mile or two. Wondering if it needs to reach a certain speed before it turns on?

Anyone have any issues with the passenger side front door not closing easily? I've found that you really need to give that one door a shove to get it to close all the way. If you push it gently, it gets close to closing all the way, but doesn't quite latch shut. The other doors all close fine with a gentle push.

Sometimes the triple sealed doors can be a little tougher when new. Perhaps it will eventually get worked in a bit.

Dang that looks hot! Too bad I have no money to do it:(. Still debating whether to get a Level 2 installed at home or not.

Our Clarity displays the warning when we turn on the power.

I'm glad of the immediate warning because we have a narrow garage and I'd hate to mangle the charge-port door just after congratulating myself for successfully clearing the rear-view mirrors.

Another lame Insightman admission: I had to dispose of 3 pickup-truckloads of "project wood" (leftovers) in our garage to make room for our Clarity; the wood had been carefully arranged over the years to accommodate our smaller, Fit-based gen 2 Insight. It was very cold at the beginning of December when I was collecting and moving all that wood, but at least there was no snow to contend with. The snow waited until the day we drove our Clarity home, and it came in a blizzard. Fortunately, I'd arranged for our dealer to mount the snow tires I'd purchased. As I followed, bouncing around from rut-to-rut in my 1850-lb gen 1 Insight (also with snow tires), I was impressed at how stable the 4059-lb Clarity was in the 5" deep snow. It made its own ruts.

Actually if you look closely the door hinge machanism may need to be adjusted. My rear passenger door was not aligned. I did some adjustments my self. Probably better to have the dealer check it out.

With all the rain we've been getting, it's impossible to keep the top of the rear bumper clean. It's a dirt magnet .

    The doors may need adjustment.

A minor interior design quibble... I noticed today is that the console between the front seats has stitching and a seam just where I place my forearm when resting in traffic or while waiting for someone. It feels quite uncomfortable on the skin - like a shirt with a stiff label that digs into your neck. I think I hadn't noticed it since it until today it has been long sleeve-weather for the past couple of weeks since I had the car. Wish they had moved the seam and stitching to the side or somewhere where it wouldn't be so abrasive on the skin; hopefully it can get improved on newer models.

At the local electric car show last weekend, one person who was looking at my car asked me what the lock was behind the driver side back seat head rest. I had no idea and had never noticed it before. My husband thought maybe it was to lock the back seats from opening. At home we tried to lock it several times (with the trunk open because that is where the seat release is) and it never locked. After awhile we tried it with the trunk closed and found it was a manual trunk release in case the fob battery dies.

Here’s a new one. I tried to turn on the Brake Hold when I didn’t have my seat belt on (in a parking lot) and it would not engage. I got a msg on the DDI to fasten seatbelt and depress brake pedal.
LOL. The Clarity will let me drive with out using a seatbelt but won’t let me use Brake Hold without using one. The Oriental logic is indeed inscrutable.
