I’m a USA owner and have been trying to get the manual since late Feb. Every month since then I would fill out the online form but get no confirmation email. But today I submitted yet another request and instantly got the confirmation email. Only thing I did different was to use the exact spelling of my name from he retail P.O. instead of the nickname I go by. I used the VIN copy/paste from the HondaLink so it wasn’t a typo error on previous tries. Have no idea if exact name match made it work or not. Just glad it finally did.
I bought the car on 6/1/2019. 10th day I received manuals but that is for electric not PHEV. Ordered again on the same day and I got the corrects one today.
I have to say ... referring to your experience with the JuiceBox where the first one was a lemon ... you seem to have run into a string where the first attempt misfires, but you get much better response from the vendors than the rest of us seem to receive!
I bought my Clarity on 12/26/18 and ordered the manuals the next week after reading about it here. They arrived 3 months later and were for the fuel cell version instead of plug in hybrid. I called Honda and they told me to call the printer. I thought, ok, I’m getting the run around. But the printer took my info and 1 week later I had the correct manuals.
Bought ours in 12/2017. I ordered twice - in early 2018. Never got anything. Never heard anything. Shouldn't have to go through this nonsense to get a printed manual. PDF works - and I can carry it on my iPhone. But it might've been nice to get one. I have a feeling it's too late now.
I bought into the whole paperless concept years ago and haven't looked back. Any bank or utility that offers a paperless option (which is virtually all of them) I always opt in. Keep everything in a folder on my computer instead of a filing cabinet like I used to. When I buy a new product of any type even if it comes with instructions I immediately go online to see if they have the instructions online, most do. I then download it to my computer and throw out the paper version. Instead of keeping a box full of instructions like I used to. Computer is backed up so I don't worry about losing them. The Clarity printed owner's guide that came with the car I will keep for the next owner. But I haven't touched it, I had already downloaded the owners manuals even before I bought the car and that's what I use.
