I'm reading something claiming this is a new feature for the 2021 model year, at least in the United States. Is this true? I know at least some of the Kona EV's already have it.
Many thanks for responding. Here's the press release that seems to claim it's a new feature for the 2021 model year. Am I missing something here? Perhaps their PR people are misinformed?
I used to have this access with the introductory subscription to UVO. Don't have it anymore because their subscription rates are way too high.
The missing press release: https://www.kiamedia.com/us/en/media/pressreleases/17519/kia-america-announces-2021-niro-ev
Worked fine on mine, although rarely used it. Did not spend the extra money on the subscription when it expired.
You can either use the UVO app to manually turn the climate on, or you can have a schedule set to automatically do it at a certain time, WHEN PLUGGED IN.
