California is only 45% renewable and 10.9% nuclear to total 55.9% green energy. New York state is 31.8% renewable and 22.6% nuclear for total of 54.4% green energy. Clearly the obvious way to reduce CO2 emissions to produce more green nuclear energy.

Have you tried driving a Prius Prime lately? The 8.8kWh battery can be fully charged in 5.5 hours at level 1, perfect for charging at the office! I am perplexed why there is such a need to bash the precursor to BEVs.

Drive a Prius Prime (gas only) for 15,000 miles compared to a Ford Mustang Mach-E Ext. Range AWD in Kentucky:
Gasoline is about 8,9 kg of CO2/gallon and coal produces 1.13 pounds CO2/kWh, natural gas 7.43 cu. ft/kWh and 0.0551 metric tons CO2/1000 cu. ft
    Prius Prime - 15,000 / 54 MPG * 8.9 kg CO2/gal = 2,472 kg CO2 or 5,450 pounds of CO2 in a Prius Prime (gas only)
    Mach-E AWD Ext. - 15,000 miles x 37 kWh/100 miles = 5,550kWh x 68.8% (coal) x 1.13 pounds CO2/kWh + 5,550 kWh x 23.4% (nat gas) x 7.43 cu. ft x 0.0551 x 2,204 pounds per metric ton = 5,486 pounds of CO2 in Kentucky for a Mach-E AWD Ext.

Even in Kentucky, a Prius Prime is cleaner than a Mach-E AWD Ext unless you have home solar charging the Mach-E.

No one here is bashing the Prius. In fact, quite the contrary. I am holding it up as the gold standard of efficient ICEVs!
