Over the past two years, as Aptera has been working toward the start of production, they've announced a few different production plans and - today, January 20 - they announced another one. Production, when it begins, will start with 5000 vehicles with identical specs: AWD, Full Solar Package, 400-mile range, Luna exterior, Codex interior, enhanced audio, no ADAS. Following that production of other variants will begin. The vehicle configurator on the Aptera website has been updated with renderings of the Delta design, including all three interior color scheme (although the only differentiation is the color of the seatbelts and the anodized aluminum center console). One change is the wattage of the motors: Previously the Elaphe in-wheel motors were listed at 50 kW but now they're closer to 43 kW - so 85 kW for FWD (114 HP) and 128 kW for AWD (172 HP).
