The Mini App stopped syncing to my car about 10 days ago. I tried rebooting the phone & the location sharing is enabled in the car settings. Has anyone else experienced this or have a fix?
Ha, I just came to ask the same thing. Mine hasn't worked since Thursday afternoon (Sep 26th). Really annoying to get in a hot car when I'm expecting it to be cool.
Huh, same here. I hadn't noticed because I haven't driven the car since Thursday, but the app hasn't connected since that afternoon (thinks my car is still at work), and won't connect now.
I'm also having the issue, first noticed Friday (09-27) afternoon. I can't toggle between charge immediately and scheduled charging (I have restricted charge window during the week, but not on weekends). My app shows last update from my car was at 05:53 on 09-27. I'm actually glad it's not just my SE, because I feared it got deactivated in my car since it's an early 2021 model. On the other hand, what if all the F56 SEs got turned off because of changes for the J01 and/or new Countryman? Oh no, that would be terrible.
Ok it's not just me. My prod app stopped two days ago and my regular one as of last night had no connection with the car. No data of any kind. That also broke the Alexa skill, naturally. It just synced up in the last half hour or so and the data is back, and the skill is working again.
Back to normal here as well. Somewhat weirdly, the most recent update is from yesterday afternoon, I e., before I checked and posted that it wasn't connecting. Based on the above, my guess would be that our SEs were still communicating with the mother ship, and that the issue was between there and the network.
I can send commands to it this morning, but status says it last updated at noon of yesterday, even though it was not working at all yesterday. Glad to see it's not just me
Same behavior for me now that syncing is back. But then I changed my SE to "charge immediately" and it updated with the current date/time. I suspect the car was queueing up telemetry, or it made to the backend server but wasn't getting to our apps and so the older info was "stuck" in transit.
Mine was still not working this morning. I plugged in the car and got a charging notice on my Apple Watch. I opened the Mini app on my watch and everything synced up immediately and has kept working including the phone app.
Both of the MINI app and BMW ConnectedDrive have been down since Thursday, likely due to the hurricane that ripped through Greenville, SC— the same area that BMW Manufacturing is. This morning I noticed that the MINI app is working again. I had a very strange experience with the app outage. It seemed to trigger a fault in our Level 2 (ChargePoint) charger because the car was plugged in when the outage occurred. I noticed the issue when neither the charger app nor the MINI app was showing any charging, but our Tesla powerwalls’ app absolutely indicated we are pulling big kilowatts for the charge. In the end, rebooting the ChargePoint (via flipping the circuit breaker) got it out of its error mode. And the reading inside the car showed it actually had received a charge. As is not important to me why an APPs showing always lower 100% charge as car dashboard is 10-12 miles higher? SE is also very consistent as I’m driving recently the same distances every weekend on the same roads 70 miles is showing 1-2 miles difference in similar 70’ F. weather both ways 140 miles and I charge a car after 70 miles bc I’m afraid I can’t get home next 70 miles on the rest of charge as theoretically I should be fine but to be on roads with hundreds cars around you in N.Y. will be no fun to be stuck.
Lol By the time the app was fully functional yesterday I couldn't complete the assignments and got booted from the test. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
