  1. And in reference to all of the above or below? Posts. I purport that the typical dealer is the last place to take a Bolt based on the fire hoo ha

The "Tapping" / Rapid Clicking sound (after unlocking the driver's door (not sure if it does this on the other doors, as there's just me), low speeds (stops when pressing the Brake pedal) and after turning the car Off), IS NOT limited to the 2017 Bolt.

My 2020 Premier started this last Friday. And, today, was the earliest that I was able to get an appointment with my local dealership (had an online Appointment for Wed morning, but I got a text saying that the online system is messed up, and the earliest was Thursday at 09:00  ).

Sadly, though not unexpected, the Diagnostics check turned up, zilch! And, the tech had 0 experience with this happening. :(

But fortunately, the dealership's Service Department is connected to other dealership service departments. And, within about 20 minutes, :) , the problem per Service Bulletin 20-NA-170, Program Brake Booster Cont ROL Module, was fixed. :):)

Its the Bosch Brake Booster malfunctioning. IN the BOLT is a software fix. Take it to your dealer as it should be covered under warranty. Same issue with my Volt. In the Volt you have to replace the part for some reason. Cost was $2100 but my extended warranty covered it after a bit of wrangling with them on my part. INfo came from a VOLT tech so I believe him. Not an uncommon issue but much less hassle in the Bolt than in the Volt.

When I hear a ticking sound, I turn the radio up. Works every time to rid me of the noise. Last time I heard one, it was a stone stuck in a tire.
