The Standard+ and Long Range have maximum level 3 charging rates of 170kW and 250kW. Are there physical differences on the vehicle that limit the Standard+ to 170kW or could it be upgraded in software in the future, theoretically? Is this as simple as having a larger battery pack allows better heat management? Other fundamental reasons for the difference?
Let us compare ~50 kWh vs 75 kWh. The “c” factor is the generally accepted charge and discharge rate: 170/50 kWh = 3.4 250/75 kWh = 3.3 So both vehicles are about the same “c” rate. Looks normal to me. Do you want a more technically defined analysis? Bob Wilson
