  1. The Polestar 4 has just been revealed by the Volvo spin-off automaker. It fits in between the Polestar 2 and Polestar 3 in terms of both size and price.
Available in either a RWD single motor (272 hp and 253 lb-ft of torque) or dual motor version AWD (544 horsepower and 506 pound-feet of torque), it doesn't have a large an output number as the Polestar 1 plug-in hybrid, but it's quicker, with a 0-60 time of 3.8 seconds.

Polestar 4 comes with a 102-kWh battery with the ability to DC fast charge with a peak power of 200 kW and can AC charge with a 22-kWh peak. It has bi-directional charging with vehicle-to-load capability and a heat pump as standard equipment. Range for the RWD version is given as over 300 miles EPA.

Base price at launch is said to be about $60,000, but there are a number of optional packages available that will inflate that number.

Styling is subjective, of course, but I prefer the less-busy front of the 4. Here are a few shots of the inside and out, plus the Polestar 3 and 4 together on stage at the Shanghai Auto Show.
