Aaaand another 6-12” on the way. Glad I got it done. Polar vortex settling over us this week, likely the last two-bucket full wash I’ll have done before March.

This is hard evidence that there is no such thing as global warming.

Today? Nothing. I did nothing. My car is effin disgusting after yesterday’s drive on county highways, and it’s only 15°F out, so I’m not touching it. It’s simply too encrusted to attempt a no-rinse wash in the garage. Keeping my fingers crossed that the forecast holds and it climbs above freezing at the weekend!

  11. Huh, those mud flaps doesn’t seem to be very effective.

Lol well… the fronts definitely keep the rockers from getting chewed up. Look at any Mk3/4/5/6 Golf or Jetta without the protection of even the feeble OE mud guards, the front of the rockers are invariably rusting through. The rears are just there to balance the look.

Lol yup. I started measuring today’s trip but I ended up sitting in the car while my MIL was at her appointments, and then leaving the hvac on while I ran in to do shopping on my way home — close to two hours of stationary conditioning, all told — so I only looked at the first leg after leaving my house to the first stop.
