Anyone put on a bike rack yet? It seems clear the over the hatch kind are not intended for eBikes, which is what I have. But... it also seems clear it's not easy to get a trailer hitch on the EV version of these cars. I really prefer the over the hatch kind and most of the racks say 35 pounds per bike, though some say 70 pounds max, with a limit of 2 bikes. My bike is 50 pounds but it's the only one I'll ever be putting on the rack so I'm really tempted to try it, and I would definitely buy a high quality Thule or Yakima rack if I do try it. I don't want to put a trailer hitch on the car since that seems more likely to cause problems in the long run.
hi - I know this thread may be old, but I've done this. I had a trailer hitch installed into my 2021 Kia Soul EV, by a reputable local installer, and put an e-bike rated rack from Costco on the back.
