I find the Clarity seats comfortable, but found the seats in our 2012 Toyota Prius V were more comfortable. The Prius had adjustable lumbar support that was great on long trips. This being said, I do not find the Clarity seats uncomfortable but the addition of lumbar support would be appreciated.

No window tint. Car as purchased. No changes or add ons.

Has anyone had problems with the auto dimming mirror on the Clarity Plug-In Hybrid? Ours has worked until recently, now only occasionally works. Our Clarity was purchased 15 months ago.

Technician reported to me that my left front bearing had either lost lubrication or had been improperly lubricated during manufacture. I suspect the latter and would propose that this may be the reason for all of the early failures. being reported.

Just got back from the Honda dealer and the car is running quiet again. They however did misinformed me oh, it was not a rear bearing it was the front left bearing. Of course all done on warranty and sounds great again. MrFixit, you may want to revise your tally of wheel bearing failures and...

Parts were ordered today (Friday 11/29) and will be installed next Tuesday (12/03). I don't know if any commonlity with other models. I'll see if I can find out and report back here.

By-The-Way, for those tracking date of manufacture vs. bearing failure, our Clarity was manufactured on 4/18.

Have an appointment with our Honda dealer tomorrow. I'm guessing from what has been discussed that it is indeed a wheel bearing. Will hopefully find out tomorrow.

Good idea. From related posts it seems that there are quite a few bearing problems, especially right front wheel bearing. Seems to be a very early failure, around 5k miles.

Sound is there all the time, braking, or not braking, regen or no regen paddles, accelerating or decelerating, or in neutral. Sound is louder as the car is going faster, but the pitch does not change. No thumping or grinding, just a steady "growling type" sound.
